5 Days of Flower Drawings: Day 1 Lotus Flower

I think its time for another project, Projects keep me creating & I think I work better with some sort of deadline :)
Myself & Bec from Clouds of Colour thought we might do a wee project based on drawing flowers over the next 5 days…. Any flowers, any medium! We have recently completed a 26 day A to Z Photo Project together.
Today I drew a Lotus Flower, I chose a Lotus Flower as I took some photos of them a couple of years back & became really interested in them when I found out how cool they are when they have dried out!
So here we are, quick drawing of a semi closed Lotus Flower – pencil & watercolour pencil on paper…

The lotus is a favorite flower subject for me. It has lots of symbolic meanings. But I have never seen one in a dried form. Very interesting.

Thank you, it is quite simple…. I started the bottom in pencil but really wanted to add some colour, so I ended up adding watercolour pink for the petals :)
